Market Report June 2003
Back to news index
Camomile Roman Oil
We expect a plentiful crop this year with a number of
new growers entering the already over-produced market.
Prices for good quality oil should drop as there is a
high carry over of stock from the last two years.
Camomile Blue
Egyptian Camomile Blue distillers have relented and
reduced their prices back to the levels of April, as
buyers sourced the competively priced European material.
Geranium Oil
Producers are still unwilling to lower their prices of Egyptian
Geranium Oil, so buyers will not commit to any major purchases.
Since the Geranium crop was definitely larger than last year,
it is only a matter of time before a producer relents and drops
their price.
Orange Oil
The Florida Orange crop is now finished and the Brazilian crop
may well be late commencing, if reports are accurate. A London
trader claims it could be 4 - 8 weeks late. Stock of Brazilian
is in the hands of resellers and the Florida crop was well down
on last year, and we are told to expect a very firm market over
the next 12 months at least.
Rosewood Oil
Supplies are very tight for Rosewood Oil and prices are at a
premium for good quality spot material, and this is also true
of Ho Wood Oil.
